Biblical Churches

For centuries Christian congregations have focused much resources, (Christian man-hours in its various forms), upon church buildings. But the New Testament never mentions the need for church buildings. (It does not say that church buildings are wrong, either. It just neglects to mention them.) Its as if church buildings were not on the list of New Testament priorities. The New Testament does, however, describe Christians as meeting in their personal homes or in public places, (such as open fields, beach, or the temple courtyard - akin to a town square).

Study for God's approval

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

One message to pull from this is, "Study for God's approval."

Women Silent in Church

Someone always suffers whenever New Testament instructions are deviated from. Many problems in church meetings are a direct result of allowing culture to seduce the Church into ignoring the following instructions regarding conduct within the mixed gender Christian learning environment:

Why We Lift Our Hands

Because Christ's Apostle Paul commanded it:

1 Timothy 2:8   I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands , without wrath and doubting.

Because King David, a man after God's own heart, set the example in the Psalms:

Psalms 28:2    Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry to You, when I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.
